One of the small shops in the alley called Kokuriko is a Yakitori restaurant.

2

When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with blend of charcoal and Yakitori.

There are counter-seats as well as partitioned tables.

3

While the restaurant is a traditional Japanese style, the atmosphere is somewhat modern.

The appetizer! It’s so fresh!

4

I recommend the Kiwami Course (¥4800)
Omote (¥3000) - 9 Yakitori, appetizer, soup
Ura (¥2500) - 6 Yakitori, appetizer, soup

Kiwami comes with an appetizer, veggie stick, and Chicken-soboro-don.

The difference between Omote and Ura is whether it comes with lever or not.

Thigh meat had a firm texture and it was so juicy too!

5

White meat (slightly pink in color) – eat it with some wasabi

6

This lever!! I love it.

7

The meat as well as vegetables is offered in the best condition.

8

Depending on the season, they also serve Tori-Suki (Chicken sukiyaki).

9

10

They always have good selections of Sake.
---especially Japanese Sake such as Jikon and Daishichi (both are famous brands)

11

All the Yakitori parts were delicious!

You can enjoy the meal but at the same time, lessen the distance with the person you come with.

I am sure foreigners would love the taste!

12

To finish off the meal, Chicken-soboro-don came! The soboro was covering the rice!

Kokuriko, in the back street of Akasaka, is a perfect place for adults.
